The temperature sensor is a temperature monitoring device that can measure and record the temperature of the environment or process, including contact-type and non-contact type.

Accutherm offers contact-type temperature sensors, including thermocouples and platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTD) that are placed into contact with the measured object and measure the temperature when the heat balance is reached.

Another type is a non-contact temperature sensor (not offered) that detects infrared radiation emitted from the measured object and measures the temperature from the radiation amount. A radiation temperature sensor belongs to this category.
